Assessment Analysis
Pacer Test

Pacer Test:

Endurance pace test testing how long students can run and keep pace with a
given time. During the test a recording is played indicating at what times
they are to start at a given point and where to end. The distance is based of
20 meters. Each 20 meters ran is considered one lap.

Elkhorn Public Schools assess their students through a modified pace, such
as where students, 6-8 grade should be. For example: Females should be
capable to run at least 30 laps, whereas males are required to run at least
35.

Assessment scores are kept over a 3-year period starting in 6th grade and
assessed twice in a school year. Throughout regular PE class participation,
daily warm ups, the idea is that kids will improve their lap counts from year
to year.

The actual Fitnessgram Standards are as follows for the Pacer Test (the 2
numbers indicate the range of what is considered the health zone).

Schools districts may modify select tests to what they feel best fits their
school environment while others will base it solely of of the national
standard as stated above.
