I am a graduate of Frisco Centennial High School and I am currently completing my
student teaching at Gunstream Elementary School in Frisco ISD, where I have had the privilege of teaching in both a Kindergarten and a 5th grade classroom. I am an anticipating graduate from the University of North Texas with a degree in Elementary Education to be completed in May 2017. While I have been completing my degree, I have also continued to work with the Color Guard at Frisco Centennial High School and am currently serving as the Assistant Color Guard Director. As a product of Frisco ISD, I am honored to be back in the school district from which I completed my primary and secondary schooling to complete my teacher education experience from the University of North Texas.
I am interested in applying for an elementary-level teaching position in Frisco ISD, as it
is a district that I have been involved in for many years and is close to my heart. I strongly believe that my experience and involvement with Frisco ISD will compliment my enthusiasm for teaching and collaboration in this particular district. As I have developed my philosophy of education over my years of studying Teacher Education, there are principles I feel passionate about that I believe will support Frisco ISDs purpose and mission. I feel passionate about a student-centric teaching philosophy with focus and attention to the individual learner. Creating authentic learning opportunities to reach every individual student through the use of inclusion, accommodation, and differentiation is what drives my passion for pursuing a career in education. In my semester of student teaching in Frisco ISD I have learned that thoughtfulness and dedication to planning and executing differentiated instruction is a skill that is invaluable in education. I am enthusiastic and eager to be a part of a team that shares my passion and excitement for teaching and collaboration.
