It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Shelby Douglas. I have had
the privilege of working with Mrs. Douglas for the last five years. Shelby has been very
successful in her teaching throughout that time and is a valued member of the teaching
staff. While I do not want to see Shelby leave the Jesup District, I would highly
recommend her for the role of principal.

I have found Shelby to be a very dedicated and knowledgeable teacher, who cares a
great deal about the success of her students in her classroom. Shelby does not hesitate
to seek extra support for her students whom she feels may be at risk, or may be dealing
with a personal issue that has become a barrier to their learning.

When it comes to behavior and classroom management, I find Mrs. Douglas skills to be
exceptional. Shelby has very high expectations for her students, and is consistent in
enforcing classroom and school rules. Shelby is highly respected by the students and
staff.

Shelby exudes confidence, intelligence, and authority. She has frequently taken on
leadership roles throughout her years here, not only within her team, but on school wide
committees as well. I see Shelby as a very decisive person who knows exactly what
needs to be done or said in many different situations.

I am confident that Shelby would be a positive addition to any district! A school hiring
Shelby will be gaining an extremely well prepared, dedicated, competent, and capable
individual, who has a natural ability to lead. It is without hesitation that I recommend
Shelby Douglas for the position of principal.
