Game As being stated that game is one of alternatives that can be used to
teach English, everyone believes, teaching process through a game will
give a fun. Kramer (2000) state that games are objects which consist of components and rules and have certain criteria: rules, a goal, always changing course; chance; competition; common experience; equality; freedom; activity; diving into the world of the game; and no impact on reality. In addition, according to Allen (1983:52) games are helpful because they can make students feel that certain words are important and necessary, because without those words, the object of game cannot be achieved. Besides that, Verykaka (2008) state that games are not just time filling activities but have a great educational value. From the opinions above, we can conclude game is one of many teaching strategies can be engaged to foreign language learners, it is believed that it can give an elements of fun to learners. The Application of Using Circle Game According to Linda Diamond and Linda Gutlohn (2006) in their article they say that Vocabulary is the knowledge of words and word meanings. Teaching English vocabulary to young learners needs an extra work and an appropriate teaching technique which is adjusted to the students need. Many strategies can be applied to teach young learners and give very enjoyable for them in learning English as a foreign language; one of techniques that are possible to apply is game. Based on Budden (2006) the steps in conducting this game are: 1. Ask the students to sit in a circle. 2. Place a set of object/picture in the middle and name them with the students. 3. Ask a student to go to the corner and close his/her eyes. 4. Ask a second student to choose one of the objects and hide it in his/her pocket. 5. Ask the first student to open his/her eyes and come back to the circle. 6. Pont to the object in the middle and ask what is missing. 7. The first student names the missing object.
