Advertising Types & Styles
Some good work here, however, instead of images, add a video for each of the
persuasive techniques and explain in the descriptions how the advert applies
the technique.
LO1 Part B. What is advertising?
A good start, but it requires more detail. Can I please recommend you add in a
screenshot of the rate card and explain? You need to make sure that you
footnote and quote more research, by doing this and explaining what you have
found you will add more depth.
Lo1 Part C. Regulation
This requires a lot more depth. Explain in more detail please, ensure you have
covered all of the points on the handout. Aim for at least twice this amount of
text. Try to add in more detail on both ASA and Ofcom and how they are funded
and the communications act.
LO1 part D. Analysis.
A fair analysis here. You need to ensure you are more specific on the ASA BCAP
codes. If the advert doesnt break any guidelines, which ones must it follow?
Look up section 2 and 3 of the BCAP code list. There may be something of
relevance in there. You also require a linked magazine advert analysis, which
means until you re-submit this the highest grade you can obtain is a pass. Please
re-submit this work. Use the handout on moodle for guidance.
