ONE
PANEL 1: Taken from a birds eye view from a helicopters camera. There
are a few police cars with four robbers being escorted into the back of a van.
Burasuto is standing next to a female reporter in front of a camera-man.
CAPTION: DOWNTOWN JAPAN
MAY 6TH, 1964
CAPTION: Authors Note: All the dialogue in this comic
is translated from Japanese. In case you
couldnt figure it out yourself.
1 REPORTER: And as you can see, the criminals are being
escorted by police right now. All thanks
to the intervention of Japans superhero
team, Power-Up.

PANEL 2: The reporter is now standing on the right side of the panel with
Burasuto standing on her left. He has a smile on his face and hands on his
hips. Reference to Burasutos pose:

2 REPORTER: In fact, Im here right now with their leader
Burasuto! Hes going to give us some
insight on what happened today.

PANEL 3: Same as last panel but now the reporter is holding the mic up to
Burasuto.
3 REPORTER: So, Burasuto, your thoughts on the outcome?
4 BURASUTO: My thoughts? The only thing on my mind is the
fact Power-Up was able to mobilize fast enough
before a life was lost.
 LINK: We did our job today and we couldnt have
done it without help from the police
force.

PANEL 4: Burasuto is the only one in the panel as its centered close to his
face with the mic visible.
5 REPORTER (OFF-PANEL): Fascinating. Do you feel that if your team
wasnt present then the situation would
have been worse?
6 BURASUTO: Worse? Maam, I am very confident in the
Japanese Police Force. They were the
first ones on the scene.

TWO
PANEL 1: Burasuto is seated on the couch between his two teammates,
Hanabi (left) and Ryota (right) who are laughing. Hanabi is holding her sides
while Ryota has his hand placed over his mouth. Burasutos ears are lowered
as he stares up at the TV screen. TV screen ref:

1 SFX: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
2 HANABI: Rising-ha-sun?! Really?!
3 BURASUTO: Was it really that bad?
4 RYOTA: You couldnt think of anything else?!

PANEL 2: Same view as before of them on the couch. Now Burasuto is

looking at Ryota while Hanabi is wiping a tear from her eye.
5 BURASUTO: It sounded inspiring! Our National Flag is a
rising-
6 RYOTA: Bura, we know what our flag looks like. It still
sounds stupid.
7 BURSUTO: It wasnt THAT bad!
8 RYOTA: I think you need to let someone else write the
press answers for you.

PANEL 3: The trio suddenly falls into an alerted stance when their manager,
Masao Nakahara, speaks from off panel. Buraustos ears perk up, Hanabis
eyes widen and Ryota looks behind him over the couchs edge.
9 MASAO: It wasnt the worst Ive ever heard-

PANEL 4: Masao is the sole one in the panel dressed in his dark blue suit.
His arms are folded behind his back.
10 MASAO: but it could obviously use a writers touch-up.
THREE
PANEL 1: View from a high point as Ryota raises his hand up to greet their
manager. Masao walks towards them.
1 RYOTA: Hey, Masao, whats going on?
2 MASAO: Thats one of the problems isnt it? Shouldnt
you three be out there saving someone?

LINK: Getting a cat out of a tree? Maybe stopping a

PANEL 2: Burasuto is now standing holding up the Power-Up communicator.

Its modeled after the Motorola v70 with a blue color scheme to it. On the
middle of the screen is the Kanji symbol of Power-Up. Ref here:

3 BURASUTO: Communicator has been quiet all day since we
stopped that robbery. Besides dont we
deserve some type of break for all
the hero stuff we do?

PANEL 3: Masao walking around the couch and still speaking to them. The
trio briefly converse amongst themselves.
4 MASAO: Dont forget that being a hero is also your job.
If you guys arent out there rescuing
someone or even just on patrol then were
losing some publicity right there.
5 HANABI: Lets be honest here, Masao, Japan sees a lot
of us everyday.
6 BURASUTO: Its pretty hard for me to take a walk down the
street without twenty people wanting to take
my picture.
7 RYOTA: At least they ask you for pictures. Ive got
people always asking the same questions
about my arms and legs.

PANEL 4: Masao is standing in front of the couch with Burasuto on his right.
A smile on his face holding a finger up in the air while Buras arms are
crossed.
8 MASAO: Thats good though! Thats the kind of
treatment you guys should be getting
and expecting. Power-Up is still the top super
her-
9 BURASUTO: Were the ONLY superhero group in Japan.
FOUR
PANEL 1: Masao speaking to Burasuto.
1 MASAO: What about the Omega Power Guardians?
2 BURASUTO: Do they even rank up there? Theyre like C-list
compared to us.
3 MASAO: Theyre still Power-Ups main competition on
the corporate scale, Burasuto.
4 BURASUTO: Hard to believe how thats even a thing.

PANEL 2: View of Hanabi and Ryota on the couch from the front.
5 HANABI: Regardless of that, Masao, Tokyo has been
pretty quiet lately. I think Power-Up has
finally done what we were meant to do.
Clean up the streets entirely and making
Japan safer for-

PANEL 3: A view of everyone looking upwards as the alarm goes off.

6 SFX: VWEEEEE VWEEEEE
7 HANABI: everyone
8 BURASUTO: Turn the TV on!

PANEL 4: The big screen taking up the panel displaying footage of the
situation. View of Kinzo Bank with several police cars around the entrance,
cops watching from behind their vehicles as smoke pours out the doors.
9 REPORTER (OFF-PANEL): Breaking News! A robbery appears in to be in
progress at Kinzo Bank in downtown
Tokyo!
FIVE
PANEL 1: Large group shot as the trio is running towards the viewer with
Masao visible in the background.
1 MASAO: Guys-
2 BURASUTO: Already on it! Hanabi, youre with me! Landing
pad exit!
3 HANABI: Got it!
4 RYOTA: Ill get EXA-L!
5 BURASUTO: Alright guys! ITS TIME TO POWER-UP!
SIX
PANEL 1: A view from behind Burasuto (left) and Hanabi (right) as the door
leading to the landing pad opens up. The pack on Hanabis back is glowing
hinting the armor is preparing to activate.

PANEL 2: Hanabi runs toward the viewer, her armor is starting to form on
her body first starting on her neck and head. You can see armored slots
covering some of her arm. Burasuto is near the door entering a code into the
keypad on a locker.
1 BURASUTO: Get your armor on, Hanabi! Ill get the jetpack!
2 HANABI: Armors forming!

PANEL 3: Side view of Hanabi walking towards the landing pads center with
a more completed form of the armor covering her body. Her head is still free
and back-pack still glowing as it completes. A smile formed on her lips.

PANEL 4: Upwards view of Hanabi as she holds her hands in the air now
with the helmet formed completing her transformation. Burasuto has pulled
the locker open in the background.
3 HANABI: Armor formed and ready!
4 BURASUTO: Then lets-

PANEL 5: Burasuto staring into the open locker just to see the jetpack isnt
there.
5 BURASUTO: Go..
6 HANABI (OFF-PANEL): Whats wrong now?
SEVEN
PANEL 1: Ryota standing in the doorway of a dark room, his body shrouded
in shadow with the hallway light behind him.
1 BURASUTO (VIA RADIO): Ryota, wheres the jetpack?!
2 RYOTA: Its currently in repairs.
3 BURASUTO: Why?!

PANEL 2: Ryotas finger flicking the lightswitch on the wall.

4 SFX: KLIK
5 RYOTA: A certain someone kept hitting the
afterburners too much and fried it.
6 BURASUTO (VIA RADIO): Ohyeah. Ill have Hanabi fly
me, you on your way out?

PANEL 3: The EXA-L armor in the middle of the room, deactivated state,
with lights shining down on it. Theres a multitude of computers around it
and some wires stuck in it.
7 RYOTA: Yeah, be out in a few.
EIGHT
PANEL 1: Kinzo bank, aerial view once more on the scene with smoke
pouring out the entrance still. Cops are still behind their cars with guns
pointed at the bank, there is a police sergeant speaking into a megaphone.
1 SGT: ATTENTION SUSPECTS! WE HAVE THE BANK
COMPLETELY SURROUNDED! RELEASE
THE HOSTAGES AND GIVE YOURSELF UP!

PANEL 2: View from the smoky entrance as a large silhouette appears.

2 COP (OFF-PANEL): Theres something in the smoke!
3 SIHOULETTE: Attention, humans!

PANEL 3: The cops staring at the silhouette watch as it continues to address

them. The view is from behind them as they watch, some with their guns
lowered while other keep them raised. Theres around five cops seen on this
panel.
4 SIHOULETTE: I have claimed this sanctuary as my own! And
it shall remain that way unless you wish
to see the humans inside come out as
corpses!

PANEL 4: The Sergeant with the megaphone up to his mouth, hes the only
one present in the panel.
5 SGT: AND JUST WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!
NINE
PANEL 1: A shot of the silhouettes eyes glowing in the smoke.
1 SIHOULETTE: Human, have you not heard of-

PANEL 2: Megalogogo emerges from the smoke revealing to the reader for
the first time. The smoke falling off his form as he addresses the officers.
2 MEGALOGOGO: MEGALOGOGO! TERROR FROM BEYOND THE
STARS! SLAYER OF MILLIONS! I HAVE-

PANEL 3: Megalogogos eyes as he tries to find the source of who

interrupted him.
3 BURASUTO (OFF-PANEL): Sounds more like they should call you
Mega-yapper!
4 MEGALOGOGO: WHO DARES?!
TEN
PANEL 1: Power-Up hovering above Megalogogo. EXA-L on the left with
Hanabi on the right holding Burasuto by his arms.
1 HANABI: Hes just setting us up for an intro.
2 BURASUTO: Gonna just assume you dont know who we
are.
PANEL 2: The scene shows Megalogogos mouth open unleashing a stream
of fire towards the heroes.
3 MEGALOGOGO: RAAAAAH!

PANEL 3: The trio moving out of the streams way.

3 HANABI: Looks like were skipping intros!
4 EXA-L: Fire-breathing monster? Thats new.

PANEL 4: The police sergeant with his pistol raised along with three other
cops in the panel.
5 SGT: OPEN FIRE!
ELEVEN
PANEL 1: The cops pistols firing, four muzzle flashes.
1 SFX: BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM

PANEL 2: Megalogogo holding his hand in front of himself as the bullets

bounce off his scales.
2 MEGALOGOGO: RAAAAAGH!

PANEL 3: Mega running back into the bank with small lines of smoke
escaping from his mouth. Hes moving towards the viewer with the entrance
visible behind him.
3 SGT (OFF-PANEL): CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE!
4 MEGALOGOGO: DAMN HUMANS!

PANEL 4: Burasuto, on top of a police cruiser crouched down (Hanabi

having dropped him there after Megas retreat), the sergeant looking up at
him while tilting up his hat.
5 BURASUTO: Any idea on what that thing was?!
6 SGT: Some kind of mutant? Hell if I know, all you
should know is that its got hostages in
there.
TWELVE
PANEL 1: An overhead view with Burasuto still crouched on the cruiser,
Hanabi and EXA-L now in the panel. They have a formation around the
sergeant.
7 EXA-L: That thing make any demands yet?
8 SGT: Just that we stay back or else itll kill the
hostages. We dont know how many its
got in there but were not gonna take
chances now. You saw that our bullets
bounced right off it!
9 EXA-L: I doubt it can survive a raw energy blast to the
face. Thinking of a plan, Bura?
10 BURASUTO: Hmmm..
11 HANABI: During our fly in I saw the bank has a skylight.
Maybe we could go in from there and
take it by surprise?

PANEL 2: View of the group from the front with Hanabi looking over at Bura
while the sergeant turns and so does EXA-L.
12 BURASUTO: We dont know where the hostages are. Wed
be risking raining down glass on them.
13 SGT: Well start thinking of something fast!
14 EXA-L: Oh god.

PANEL 3: A full shot revealing smoke leaking out of the banks upper floors
and entrance. Theres streaks of fire coming out. Megalogogo has started
setting fire to the bank.
THIRTEEN
PANEL 1: Power-Up flying into the air with the police sergeant looking up at
them. Hanabi holding Burasuto by his shoulders as they mobilize.
1 BURASUTO: Lets move!
2 HANABI: Got a plan now?!
3 BURASUTO: We get in and get the hostages out!

PANEL 2: An aerial view as the trio land on the roof of the bank. A few
paces away from the skylight as previously described. Burasuto is moving
ahead with Hanabi following while EXA hovers over to the skylight.
4 BURASUTO: EXA, you got the extinguishers ready in your
suit?
5 EXA-L: Started prepping them as soon as the smoke
poured out.
6 BURASUTO: You go in first and put out the fires. Pave the
way for me and Hanabi.

PANEL 3: A closer view of the group with EXA still hovering over the
skylight prepared to crash through it. Hanabi is speaking to Burasuto.
7 BURASUTO: Hanabi, you get any readings on the hostages
on our fly up?
8 HANABI: I got some sound readings inside that were
faint. I think its them but I cant be sure
until we get closer.
9 BURASUTO: Lets hope were not too late. Were going right
for the hostages when we go in. Scale-
face is a secondary until theyre safe.
10 EXA-L: Extinguishers are ready, Im prepped.

PANEL 4: A shot of the EXA-L armors face as the order comes.

11 BURASUTO (OFF-PANEL): EXA GO!
FOURTEEN
PANEL 1: A full page of EXA flying down into the banks main lobby. He
went in feet first, fires are raging around the area. Arms held out firing the
extinguishers from the underside of the armors wrists.
1 SFX: CRASH!!
2 SFX: FOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH
FIFTEEN
PANEL 1: A shot of EXA-L in a stance putting out one of the fires. Theres
some smoke rising up behind him and singe marks around the area. Hanabi
is flying in from the skylight above with a streak left behind from her
jetpack.
1 EXA-L: Fires are coming under control. Hanabi, move
in! Find the hostages!
2 HANABI: On it!

PANEL 2: Hanabi hovering in the air with her right hand pressed against the
side of her helmet. A blue light emitting from the top of the helmet as she
scans the area below. Shes using sonar to locate the hostages.
3 HANABI: You see any sign of Scale-face?
4 EXA-L: Nothing since I dropped in. He probably ran off
by now.
5 HANABI: He couldnt have got-wait Ive got something.

PANEL 3: The vault, as the light casts over it, revealing small cries for help
coming from inside. Their voices muffled slightly.
6 HOSTAGE: Is someone out there?! Please help us!

7 HOSTAGE: Help! Help us! Were in here!

8 HANABI (OFF-PANEL): I found them, theyre locked in the vault.

SIXTEEN
PANEL 1: Hanabi landing in front of the vault and placing her hands on it.
1 HANABI: Bura, you coming down here? I may need
some help getting these people out. EXA is
getting the last of the fires under control.
2 BURASUTO: You guys get the hostages out then move into
the street behind the bank.
3 HANABI: Why?

PANEL 2: Burasuto standing at the edge of the banks roof with a view of
the street below. Megalogogo can be seen running down the street. Buras
hand is pressed against his neck speaking into the throat mic implanted in
his suit.
4 BURASUTO: Scale-face is trying to make a run for it. Im
gonna cut him off and bring him in.
5 HANABI (OFF-PANEL): You sure you can handle him by yourself?
6 BURASUTO: How hard can an overgrown lizard be?
7 HANABI (OFF-PANEL): Tell him about the glory of Japans suns, thatll
make him come quietly.
8 BURASUTO: That was a low blow.

PANEL 3: Megalogogo moving down the middle of the street with several
civilians fleeing at the sight of him. His maw is open as he spills out more
insults towards them.
9 MEGALOGOGO: Yes run! Flee before the might of Megalogogo!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!

PANEL 4: An upclose shot of Megas head as hes alerted to Burasutos voice

from above.
10 BURASUTO (OFF-PANEL): Hey scaly, who writes your material?
11 MEGALOGOGO: Huh?!
SEVENTEEN
PANEL 1: Burasuto is on the side of a building holding onto the edge of a
window sill. Mega is in the lower part of the panel looking up at him.
1 BURASUTO: Maybe you want to trade for a day? Ive been-

PANEL 2: Megas mouth open unleashing a stream of flames with Burasuto

hopping jumping off his current position. The flames striking the wall near
the window as he leaps over it.
2 MEGALOGOGO: RAAAAAGH!
3 BURASUTO: Woah!

PANEL 3: Burasuto now crouched ontop of a cars roof, his back to the
reader as an enraged Megalogo approaches from the front.
5 MEGALOGOGO: Foolish rodent! I will sear your flesh for your
intrusion!
6 BURASUTO: Im not the huge lizard burning up half of
downtown Tokyo just to rob a bank!
7 MEGALOGOGO: Rob? I have no use for your pitiful currency. I
needed a location to send a distress beacon to
my planet. Your bank just happened to be in-

PANEL 4: Burasuto in the same position but now from the front, an eyebrow
raised as he responds.
8 BURASUTO: So do your people use smoke signals to
communicate?

PANEL 5: Megalogogos enraged face.

9 BURASUTO (OFF-PANEL): Youre gonna try to roast me again, arent you?
EIGHTEEN
PANEL 1: Mega unleashing another stream of fire. Burasuto jumped into the
air with his energy blade projecting over his left hand.
1 MEGALOGOGO: RAAAAGH!
SFX: FOOOOSH
2 BURASUTO: Scale-face, Id love to keep chatting but its
about time I cut this short.

PANEL 2: Burasuto bringing his blade down and cutting off Megas tail. The
reptilians mouth opens and shouts in pain.
3 MEGALOGOGO: RAAAAAAAAGH!

PANEL 3: Buras face slightly wrinkled in disgust as he gets a whiff of the

seared flesh.
4 BURASUTO: Jeez your tail stinks. It smells like burned-

PANEL 4: Bura looking over at Megalogogos back where the tail stump is
pitch black, burned rubber. Megas teeth are bared while Bura looks
somewhat dumbfound.
5 BURASUTO: rubber
6 MEGALOGOGO: You dare strike Megalogogo, Rodent?! You will
pay for your insolence!
7 BURASUTO: Why is your tail made of-
NINETEEN
PANEL 1: Megas claw strikes Burasuto and sends him flying. The panel has
him flying back to the left with Megas claw visible on the right.
1 BURASUTO: AGH!

PANEL 2: Burasuto landing in the windshield of car.

SFX: KRRRASSSSHHHH

PANEL 3: Megalogogo taking off down an alleyway with Bura vaguely visible
in the windshield behind him.
2 MEGALOGOGO: Let that be a warning, Rodent! Megalogogo will
decimate you if we meet again!
3 BURASUTO: Ugggghhhh.

PANEL 4: Burasuto rising up from the wreckage. A radio call coming in from
Hanabi.
4 HANABI (OFF-PANEL): Bura, you there? You caught Scale-face?
5 BURASUTO: He took off down an alley. Im going after him.
You guys got the hostages out?

TWENTY
PANEL 1: Hanabi and EXA standing in the middle of a crowd with several
people (the hostages and police) cheering them on and thanking them.
Hanabis hand is pressed against the side of her helmet while EXA waves to
the crowd.
1 HANABI: Every single one is accounted for. The fire was
brought under control to. Me and EXA are
going to make our way over to you now.

PANEL 2: A view from behind as Burasuto runs into the alley.

2 BURASUTO: Roger that! (CLICK) Alright Scaly! Lets have a
little rematch!

PANEL 3: Bura runs past an alley where there is a truck at the end of it.

3 BURASUTO (THINKING): An overgrown lizard doesnt just vanish.

PANEL 4: Centering in on the truck.

TWENTY-TWO
PANEL 1: Megalogogo inside the trucks trailer. His head ducked down to fit
in its space.

PANEL 2: His claw moving down to his stomach area.

PANEL 3: Claw grabbing hold of a zipper then pulling it down.

PANEL 4: Three brown bags of money fall out of the stomach area onto the
truck floor. Megalogogo speaks but the mouth gives no sign of moving, the
voice coming from the zipper hole.
1 MEGALOGOGO: Not as much as I wanted but well enough.

PANEL 5: Megalogogos claw moves to the neck area and opens it up

revealing the operator, Dasiuke Akagi. Sweat streaming down his face as he
finally relaxes.
2 MEGALOGOGO: I gotta be more careful next timeBurasuto
could have cut my arm off.I gotta plan
things out better.

PANEL 6: A side shot as Dasiuke moves out of the suit.

3 DAISUKE: Next time, there will be no mistakes.
