Friendly Cars caused Traffic Jam in Yogyakarta

Nowadays traffic jam becomes one of big problems that must be solved.
Because this traffic jam is not only happen in the big cities but this problem also
happens in smaller cities such as Bandung or Yogyakarta. The problem requires
serious and professional handling. As an illustration, nowadays in Surabaya the
annual road construction is only 1% while the increase of vehicle ownership is
5%. In other words, every day approximately 250 new vehicles are launched in
Surabaya, which will occupy at least 1 km of the road. Fortunately, he said, the
vehicles are not driven at the same time. "For example, in Jakarta it is more than
10 million vehicles per hour, in Surabaya it is more than 2.5 million, in Bandung
more than 4.7 million, and in Yogyakarta more than 1.42 million," explained the

make the traffic is full. This research to find out of public policy that related to
transportation reduce traffic congestion in the city of Yogyakarta as well as the

congestion in Yogyakarta .This research normative empirical research , use a
method of interview by asking a direct question in the form of directed interview
with not closing a possible question and answer freely with stays guided to the
problem at screened and the results of interviews that relevant to a matter will

collected were analyzed using a qualitative methodology will .Qualitative data

become a unit of that can be administered , search and discover patterns , find
out what is important and what learned and deciding what might be shared to
others Hence the research results obtained was that the government of the city
of Yogyakarta according to the midterm regional development to address traffic
congestion in the city of Yogyakarta namely add to the road infrastructure , by
making the road nor widen roads and improving transportation system existing
namely transjogja .Implementation in the location not yet on the run for the
addition of roads because of the difficulty of land acquisition to build a highway
while for transjogja being corrected management done by adding shelter in point
that there has been nothing.
