ANZAC SPIRIT IS ON PASSION, INTEGRITY & APNAPAN

Dear All,
After the youth week event on Saturdya the first April, we are now getting ready for the annual
Fayyaz Sumbul Foundation Cup on 29th April at Comer Reserve (TBC).

Our youth week eevnt at Binningup did not get many

participants but thanks to br. Aziz of Islamic Council of Western
Australia and Binningup Caravan park whose support was great
to get young ones and not so young ones to attend. Special
thanks to a memebr who provided us overnight accomodation
to manage the event.

We still have many bags left which we will distribute during the
week. The National Youth week will continue till 9th April with a
series of events around Australia so make sure that you attend
one.

For the members who have written to us that we should have had the event in Perth, it was essential
keeping in view that we have members in Bunbury but already a new idea has bene suggested by a
vounteer and will be taken on baord for next year. Thanks to Adil, Maria, Ayla and Sumera for their
help and support.

Finally, the amendmenst to Racial Discrimination Act 18 c have been defeated in the federal
parliament and hopefully this is the end of the debate which is now going on for a numbe rof years
despite submisisons from the communities that would be largely affected if a change has gone
through.

#GUPSHUP
The next #Gupshup is at Morley Shopping Centre coordinated by Asma Sabir so join on 8th April.
This one will be followed by another one at UWA on 21st April (Iqbal Day).
Our last #GupShup was attended by six community members on 23rd March and that is the
whole purpose for having small groups getting to know each other so if you are willing to have
one please share the details.

This week we also had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Rafi Riaz an artist form Pakistan who is
famous for his calligraphy and paintings. The lunch was also attended by Natasha De Souza,
Marzio, and Ramis Hassan. Finally this week we will be sending another batch of more than
thirty readng glasses to Peshawer which will take our count to 400 reading glasses that have
helped Pakistani patients who cannot afford to buy the glassess.
