ASK ASSIGNMENT

Your task for this assignment is to go out and ASK for something! You need to
ask for something that you typically would have accepted As is, or for which you
would have paid full price. That is, I want you to ask for something that you
wouldnt ordinarily think to ask, not something that is a typical negotiable item
(i.e., negotiating over the purchase of a car). You can ask for a discount, or for
something extra anything that you would not have asked for typically. Keep in
mind that youll often be in a better position to have your request granted if youre
also delivering (or have the potential to deliver) some benefit to them. Have fun,
but keep in mind that if you get verbally dressed down, or beaten up, or fired, I
cant be held responsible well chalk it up to operator error.

Write up your experience in a paragraph or two and email it to both your

professor and TA. This is qualitatively graded as part of your exercise
performance grade.

If what you asked for saved you any money or made you money, please let me
know the dollar amount. In your write-up, discuss what you asked for and why
you think you were successful, or if you werent successful, why you werent.
Please keep in mind that my assessment of your performance on this
assignment is not a function of how much you saved or even if your request was
granted. Rather, I am more interested in your insights as to why you were or
were not successful.
