World History Mr. MeGatry / Mr, MeNamara Renaissance Project For the next two weeks, we will put down the textbook, the quizzes, and the homework and attempt to recreate and celebrate the Renaissance. Masterpiece details: * Due April 13"and on that date we will have an ‘open house’ art show with visitors from around school + Can work project alone, or groups of 2 (limit is two and group has to be from the same class) + Must choose one of the five possible masterpieces. 1, Paint a replica of the Mona Lisa 2. Sculpt a miniature statue of David 3. Paint a replica of the Sistine Chapel 4. Create of one Da Vinci's inventions 5. Write a mini-novel called “The Student" * Your group and choice of masterpiece must be approved and discussed with your teacher before beginning * Work will be done both in class and at home, think of History class as a workshop for two weeks + Your final project will be graded as a test grade * Each test grade will be individual (whether in a group or not) based on your level of effort, achievement, and ability to satisfy the rubric requirements + There will be a limited amount of supplies in my room, for sketching, painting, and sculpting. Please bring your own supplies to help the cause.
