Myplate is a picture of a plate consisting of fruits, grains, vegetables,

and protein. It has recommendations for each one, telling you how many of

each you should eat a day. Myplate for protein is at least 5.5 ounces

everyday, 3 cups of dairy, 6 ounces of wheat, 2 cups of fruit, and 2.5 cups of

vegetables every day. Myplate is good for a person who just living a

sedentary lifestyle, not really actititive. My stance for Myplate is a I agree

with the concept but its not going to be for everybody. Everybody has a

different frame, and genetic makeup, some foods that people eat are going

to cause them to gain weight. Everybody needs to eat differently depending

on how active you are like if you are a athlete you will need to consume more

than this list provided in order to fuel your body. Even if you are really active

you will just need more food to fuel to the body for energy. Even in the book

it provided charts for how many calories you need to intake depending on

your lifestyle.
