First Indian Aviator
Maternal grandfather of founder trustee Smt. Kamala V. Agadi. He studied in
Roorkee Engineering College and worked in A. V. Roe & Co., England from 1912
to 1914, where he learned to build and fly propeller planes.

He was the first person to get Gold Medal from British Aviator. He flew a plane within
ten years after Wright brothers flew their first plane. He is the founder principal of
Bangalore Engineering School, which is now called as University Visveswaraya
college of Engineering at Bangalore.

His life is a real inspiration to one and all.

Smt. Kamala and Sri Venkappa M. Agadi College of Engineering and Technology
was established in the year 2003 by the great visionary late Sri Venkappa M. Agadi,
under the aegis of Smt. Kamala and Sri Venkappa M. Agadi Charitable Trust (Regd.)
Bengaluru. He was inspired by late Prof. Venkata Subbasetti, the first aviator of
India and maternal grandfather of founder trustee Smt. Kamala V. Agadi, to start
an Engineering college at his native place Lakshmeshwar. Our founder Chairmans
dream of bringing a World class Engineering education to his birth place and benefit
the rural aspirants has become true. This is evident, as our college is attracting a
large number of rural students. Particularly the girl students of surrounding area are
benefitted by this institution.

Message

I cannot believe we have entered into our 11th year here at Smt. Kamala & Sri Venkappa M. Agadi College
of Engineering & Technology. As usual every year is a year of change. This year has shown positive growth
in our student body, our faculty and staff, as well as, our campus.
To our new and current students, I pray that aside from your education, you develop and cultivate
lasting relationships through the many activities and organizations available to you on campus. They are
educational, fun and filled with fellowship.
I know that through the solid foundation of education, leadership training, interview skills and hands-on
development training received here this years graduating class will go out in the world and reach their
goals. I congratulate you for your accomplishments now and those in the future.
It is exciting to see new students attending and eager to learn; but at the same time, it is rewarding to
hear from our alumni and to see the accomplishments they have made through their education here
at SKSVMACET. You will see quotes and comments from four members of our newly developed Alumni
Association in this catalog.
At last, it is clear that the legacy left by our founding trustees, the late Venkappa M. Agadi and Mrs. Kamala
V. Agadi, of making a difference continues to show forth year after year.

Message

A Decade is about to pass by since Smt. Kamala and Sri Venkappa M Agadi College of Engineering and
Technology put Lakshmeshwar on the Education map of India.
During its 10 glorious years of growth, the Institution has gone from strength to strength and is poised for
big leap into higher realms of Engineering Education, that include Research Centers, more branches of
Engineering and MBA program me with a US university tie up.
We are very happy to see our Founder Chairmans dreams come true in vibrant colors, though we miss him
terribly.
Under the present Chairman and trustees, we are looking forward to a bright future that will make us Ivy
league of indias Engineering Education.
Through Eldorado, I would like to send a message to my teacher friends that it really feels great to work
with a lot of dedication in the cause of education. It is one of a few creative professions that leave a lasting
impression on young minds.
To my students friends- I say it is best part of your life. Enjoy it-with responsibility. Use all facilities that are

an elegant and excellent format.
I am extremely happy to know that our Institute is bringing out our College Magazine during this year. In
addition to the numerous achievements of the institute this is yet another mile stone in their curricular and

Editorial Message

Eldorado-14 is the continuation of series of college magazine. It is our proud privilege to present before
you the eighth volume of the college magazine.

Eldorado is a chronicle of the years events, functions, activities, articles and various other features. There
was an awesome response from students and faculty this year also. In the pages that follow you will find
the honest attempt of the students of SKSVMACET to bring out a magazine with difference.

Our efforts have been to include enough articles, endowed with variety of subjects, but at the same time,
we saw that the quality and standard should never be let down. We feel delighted to place on record that
we have sustained in incorporating good and inspiring articles.

We would like to express our deep sense of gratitude to our Management, the Chairman, the Director, the
Principal and all department HODs for giving us a free hand in the publication of the magazine and for the
contribution towards this magazine.
