To the Honorable Carolyn B. Maloney,

I am writing regarding the proposed injection of funds into the dairy industry due to falling
demand for dairy. A letter to the USDA signed by 60 lawmakers proposes wasting millions of
taxpayer dollars to buy surplus milk that nobody wants. The dairy industry forcibly impregnates
cattle, cruelly removes the calves from their mothers at birth, and abuses the animals in a variety
of other ways. Americans are waking up this reality and switching to milk and dairy alternatives.
Please oppose wasting taxpayer money to distort the free market, and support the consumers
right to decide for themselves what they want to eat and drink.
