Everyone knows that revolutions have been going forever we all know the French

Revolution, The American revolution, World war 1, and World war 2. So people know the

Mexican Revolution but people dont know what fully went on. This is where an important

question comes up. Was this revolution worth the bloodshed?. The people fought for freedom

and more land just like the 3rd estate and king Louis XVI. If people knew why the Mexican

revolution but i say that the bloodshed was worth it.

There is always a certain question that people get when a revolution is starting its either

why did they start a revolution or who started the revolution. In this case the mexican revolution

is started in 1910 when the liberals that began to challenge th,e dictator Porfirio Diaz. Porfirio

had power since 1877 that is a term of 34 years called El Porfiriato. El Porfiriato violated the

principle and ideals of the Mexican Constitution of 1857. The person who wanted to get rid of

Porfirio was Francisco I. Madero who faced Diaz in an election and lost. So Madero drafted a

plan call Plan de San Luis Poto and it was embraced by rebels movements across the nation.

Emiliano Zapata and Francisco Pancho Villa are the 2 main people who lead the revolutions.

Pancho Villa was one of the famous people that a help in the Mexican revolution war.

Villa joined Madero uprising against Diaz. Since Villa had amazing reading,writing,fighting

skills and the knowledge of the land it lead Madero to becoming a revolutionary leader ,

winning the battle of Ciudad Juarez in 1911 and became colonel.Emiliano Zapata is another

leading figure in the mexican revolution like Villa he wanted to help Madero in taking down

Diaz.After Zapata army capture Cuautla after a 6 day he knew that Diaz is losing power.

Emiliano Zapata agreed to help out Madero only if Madero promised about land reform. That the

only thing Zapata cared about was about land reform.

 The Mexican revolution sounds some what like the French revolution they both have the

same reason for fighting against the president/king but there problem was started in different

reason. For the French revolution it started because the 3rd estate wanted better rights. For

people who dont know there were 3 types of estates the 1st and 2nd estates who lived like rich

people and had everything and the 3rd estate who worked like pigs and barely have any food.

They barely lived their lives because they live in horrible conditions and it comes to one point

where people in the 3rd estate was fighting over bread.The 3rd estate had to pay all the taxes

because there was more people there than in any other estates but they own more land.Emiliano

Zapata wanted more freedom and more land for the peasants. That the only reason he join

Madero. Both took over and got rid of the crazy leader and trying to settle in a new leader who

wasn't insane or wanted to kill.

When Porfirio Diaz gain power in 1876 that is when things started taking turn for the

worst. Mexico social and economic systems was federal system which had large estates that was

controlling the land and squeezing out the independent communities of people who were forced

to go into debt slavery on the haciendas.Haciendas is a large estates with a dwelling house.That were

Emiliano Zapata comes in.He and 3 other man were nominated to replace the council elder Jose Merino.

Emiliano won and took over the place of fighting for the rights for the village.Emiliano wanted peasants

to have more land and more freedom from Porfirio Diaz.Zapata campaign a steadfastly for the rights of

villagers but since the government was slow in responding and bias towards the rich plantation owners

Zapata decide to take it by force by creating an armed force and simply just taking over the land in

dispute

Is the mexican revolution really worth all the bloodshed? yes it was worth it because

people wanted rights for the peasants they wanted more land for them.Without more land they

cant survive with only a small piece. Also they wanted to get rid of a bad leader who keeps
winning the elections. A lot of people might disagree with me but just look at the facts. A crazy

president who has been running for a long time, barely any land for the peasants and just to gain

more land
