SUMMERY
I am persistent and able to overcome challenges that I am faced with. I attended an
Outward Bound program in 2014 and successfully finished the course. Outward Bound New
Zealand included hiking, sailing, kayaking, rock climbing, high and low ropes, running and a
marathon at the end of the 21 days.
The best thing that I have learned is how to strive and accomplish my goals.
My current job as a lifeguard at the Rochester YMCA requires me to be vigilant, a confident
swimmer, assertive and respectful. I also utilize my communication skills on guard duty by
advising patrons of potential hazards. I enjoy working at the YMCA because the members vary
from children, adults, elderly, disabled and mentally ill.

OBJECTIVE
To attend a four year college and study something that involves my interest(s).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I was born in China and adopted by an American parents. Now, I consider myself an
international student who loves to travel and be around people from foreign countries. My
favorite place that I have lived is Kotzebue, Alaska. However, I have lived longest in Suva, Fiji.
Today I am enroled at Goshen College with a major in American sine language with the
possibility of a minor in sustainability.
