SECTION2 OPERATION 2.1 Front Panel Controls The JMA-2253/JMA-2254 allows the operator to control its normal functions all from the front panel on the display unit. Using menu-defined functions, the operator can make full use of the capabilities of the JMA-2253/JMA-2254. The menu screens are displayed by pressing the key alone (ordinary menus) or a combination of the CMENU) and keys (INITIAL SETTING that is used when a radar unit is installed or when the memory backup battery is replaced). This section explains the menu functions and shows how to manipulate them. 2.3.1 Menu Organization The JMA-2253/JMA-2254 can display menus in both English and Spanish. The procedure for selecting between the English and Spanish mode display is discussed in ‘Subsection 2.3.3, "Manipulating Menus."
