Bagan or Pagan in Myanmar


Bagan, also known as Pagan is one of the most remarkable archaeological in site in
south east Asia. It can be compared with the city of Angkor in Cambodia and the
site of Borobudur in Java. In the Bagan plain, a 42 sq km area on the left bank of
ayeyarwaddy river, there are 2217 pagodas still standing another 2000 ruined
temples. Most of this temples were built during the 11 th and 13th century. When
bagan was the capital of Myanmar. Bagans heart and soul of Myanmar and
everyones destination.
