Vision Statement

I teach to give my students the tools and skills they

will need in order to be successful in whatever path
they follow.

I will foster a culture of error that will help my

students gain confidence and view mistakes and
struggles in a positive light in order to develop the
problem-solving skills to overcome them.
o To do this, I will encourage discussions about both right
and wrong answers to investigate the merits of each
and explore multiples ways of approaching the same
problem.
I will create an environment where each student
can feel comfortable and valued and become an
active participant.
o To do this, I will get to know my students individually
and help them get to know each other through
conversation and activities, and take the time to listen
and respond to their comments and questions.
I will emphasize a growth mindset and encourage
students to become self-advocates for their own
futures.
o To do this, I will provide tutoring times for students to

get academic help, resources for them to keep track of

their assignments and grades, and opportunities for
them to improve and progress, and hold them
accountable for their own achievement.
