Disgusting Spinach

I ate disgusting spinach

That my mom hid in my food
The spinach was green and mushy
I caught the spinach flu.

I stormed into the doctors

Doc said there was no cure
He told me not to go to school
So I stayed home making lures.

Bored, so I made 6 or 7
My favorite lure is blue and green
It lures the biggest fish in town
I am known as the fishing queen.

Broccoli, asparagus
Carrot, cauliflower
Mom calls for me from downstairs
Dinner will be ready in an hour.

Wishing it wasnt spinach

I ran downstairs, looked in the pot
I started crying with joy!
The macaroni and cheese was hot.
