To Whom It May Concern:
Megan Buchanan was a student teacher in my Grade 3 classroom for her two initial practicums
in her first year of Education at the Medicine Hat College during the 2016-2017 school year.
She completed the Fall 2016 and Winter 2017 practicums. During each practicum she spent
more than 60 hours at the school working with the students, whole class, individually and in
small groups. She corrected work, listened to students read, reinforced needed skills and
performed various other classroom duties as needed.
found Megan to be a very responsible and dedicated student. She accepted responsibility and
initiated activities that she saw needed to be done. | felt confident that all the assignments she
was given would be done thoroughly and properly. She was prompt and attended during her
scheduled time.
Megan was immediately comfortable in the classroom setting and with the students. There
was no hesitation to interact with the students and she demonstrated empathy, and
understanding of all learning styles. They responded to her warm and bubbly personality. If
she recognized things which needed to be done, Megan took the initiative to do them.
| feel that Megan works hard in anything she takes on or is asked to do. She was comfortable
with the other staff members and shows good interpersonal relationships. She responds to
feedback and will make a good team player. She would be an asset to any classroom or staff as.
she is a very responsible, dedicated and hard-working employee.
Sincerely,
Carol Kimenius
