Supplier Certification

It is also known as Vendor certification. It act as a larger strategy of quality management i.e. it assures
the product by the supplier produced, packaged and shipped are under the controlled process that are
compatible to our requirement. Basically its a process by the organization to manage its relationship
with its supplier to coordinate as single entity for creating value for all stakeholders.

Supplier Development

Supplier development is closely related to supplier relationship management and it is the process of
working with selected suppliers on one to one basis to improve their performance and capabilities for
the benefit of buying organization. Supplier knowledge and technology of the commodity they supply
can be provided through supplier development with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or
service provider to reduce cost and lower project risk.
