The class is conducted where students use the textbook to complete selected projects designed to illustrate various functionality within Excel. In addition to the class project work, the students are expected to complete HW assignments and a comprehensive project at the course end, on their own, to demonstrate the proficiency that they gained. Anna became very adept at using Excel. She always attended class and completed alll the class projects completely and accurately. In addition, she completed the HW assignments and Final project on time and accurately. She was extremely proactive throughout the course by contacting me via E-mail or in person to ensure that she had completed and submitted all her required work and that it was error-free. If corrections were needed, she would determine the cause of her error(s) and quickly adjust her assignment. Ihave encouraged Anna to take Advanced Excel because she is an excellent candidate and, with her increased knowledge and proficiency, she would offer more value when she starts to look for employment. Because of her Excel skills, Anna recently told me that she is going to be working with Brent Broszeit, the Director of Development, to teach him Excel so that he will be able to generate more statistical and graphical information to represent results of the Development effort Melanie C.
