I met Hannah in Fall 2016 while transitioning into a newly appointed role as the Resident Director of Edwards Residential Village at Shenandoah University. While working in Winchester, VA I served as her immediate supervisor up until her graduation in May 2017. While transitioning into my role as resident director, | appreciated being able to rely on Hannah countless times to lead and coordinate our weekly staff meetings and building programming during the conversion process. Be it through employee trainings, policy enforcement, or administrative management, Hannah never failed to step up when necessary. As the Head Resident Assistant and the primary link between the first-year resident assistants and our residential community, Hannah regularly provided the advice and guidance needed to effectively lead her staff. As a result of her tremendous drive and positive attitude, she often played a crucial role to ensure a number of key organizational goals were consistently met without incident. During my time as her supervisor, I came to instinctively trust in Hannah’s resource management skills. Time and time again she exhibited her willingness to take on additional tasks. In my opinion, Hannah’s aspirations to expand her skill sets has truly prepared her for future opportunities as a soon to be graduate.
