a CHECKLISTS Can be used to indicate when behaviors or skills are / are not mastered by a student. Can be commercial or teacher-made. A task analysis (breaking the final task into smaller steps) can easily serve as a checklist where progress and mastery can be noted at particular points in time. Skills in a checklist should be listed in the sequence necessary for task completion or according to level of difficulty. Guide to Developing Checklists: Include student's and observer's names & target behavior / skill. Identify steps in logical sequence List date behavior / skill observed Include system or key to be used for recording Provide space for additional notes or comments
