To Whom It May Concern:

I am extremely delighted to write a letter of recommendation for Emily Stewart who is
applying for a teaching position at your school. I was Emilys methods instructor for reading and
(TLS 323) language arts (TLS 322) during the spring and fall semester of 2016. In addition, I
served as the site coordinator and had the opportunity to briefly observe her during her
fieldwork.
Emily is a very talented and wonderfully situated to be an outstanding teacher. She is
particularly adept at lesson planning and has a keen sense of how to design lessons that are
relevant, creative, and interactive. Furthermore, Emily always looks for new ways to expand her
knowledge about the teaching profession.
I truly believe that Emily will be a wonderful asset to your teaching staff. She is
professional and very personable. It is her nature to go the extra yard, providing support and
encouragement to peers as well as students. She is a team player who is excited about
collaborating with other teachers and being a part of a teaching/learning community. For these
reasons, I strongly recommend Ms. Emily Stewart for an elementary school teaching position.
Please feel free to contact me should you have questions. I can be reached at
ddimmett@email.arizona.edu and 520-237-2709.

Sincerely,
Deborah L. Dimmett
