To Whom It May Concern:
During the Spring 2016 semester, I had the opportunity to supervise Olivia Harris as
she completed her requirements for student teaching. During this time, | found Ms.
Harris tobe eager to improve her teaching skills and dedicated to becoming an
effective educator. When observing Ms. Harris it was apparent that she truly enjays
‘working with children,
Ms, Harris has demonstrated success as a teacher in many ways. She is well
structured and task-oriented, She is very open to constructive criticism and seeks
suggestions to implement into her lessons. Ms. Harris works to ensure success in
her students while realizing the importance of utilizing a variety of differentiated
instruction techniques. It was impressive how Ms. Harris could incorporate the use
‘of technology into her lessons.
While in her student reaching placements, Ms Harris observed and executed
behavioral management techniques that are needed to be consistently employed in
{an active and engaging classroom, She saw how constant positive reinforcement and
high expectations are necessary for the learning process to be successful. Ms, Harris
‘grew to reflect upon her teaching strengths and weakness and explored ways to
improve her areas of need. I believed she will incorporate this critical skill for Future
professional development.
