Introduction Monday: Class will resume with the project they had started
before the calendar contest break. The students should be
finishing tracing and be beginning coloring today.

Tuesday: *ONLY HALF OF CLASS PRESENT BECAUSE OF

FIELD TRIP* The class will continue working on coloring.
Once they have finished coloring they will paint the
background after we have demonstrated. For the students that
finish early we will allow them to get on their phones or chrome
books to look up ideas for our upcoming clay project of
amplifiers. The guidelines we will give are that they have to be
an animal or type of fish and they cannot copy something. The
students will have to draw out three examples and color them
if they finish early.

Wednesday: *SUBSTITUTE* I will start by reminding them that

today they should be getting close to painting if they were here
Tuesday. We would like to begin a new project on Friday so
they only have today and tomorrow to finish working on it. The
students that were here yesterday should be about finished
and those who werent should be close to painting so they can
finish tomorrow. I will help with paints and remind them of
what they need to be doing if they finish.

Thursday: *ONLY HALF OF CLASS PRESENT BECAUSE OF

FIELD TRIP* All students should be completing or have
completed their project today. The students who are done
need to show me their ideas for their amplifiers when they are
finished.

All days: finished work hangs on clothes line at the windows.

Lesson Content Monday-Thursday: Students will continue working with oil

(lessons for each day) pastels. The students need to use these oil pastels to create a
dog or cat in complimentary colors.
After they have finished the animal in their oil pastels, they will
need to show me. After they have showed me their finished
animal, we will talk about warm and cool colors briefly. They
will have to decide which would compliment the animal best,
warm colors or cool. I will demonstrate how to use watercolors
in the background and explain that they can get close to the
animal because oil pastels will reject the watercolors. I will
show them how use watercolors and how to add more water to
make it lighter and more color to make it darker.
The students will complete the composition by adding
watercolor to the background.
Once the students have completely finished and signed their
name to the bottom, they will give me ideas for their amplifiers.
Our next project in clay will be amplifiers. I will tell them that
they must produce at least three designs sketched in color.
Their amplifiers must be an animal or a fish. *The students are
allowed to use their chromebooks or phone for ideas. If they
arent using them for ideas they will not be able to do the
project and will work in the textbook while the class does the
project.*

Differntiation Students who need assistance in drawing will be able to use

the overhead to assist in the process of completing their
drawing. We will also give them a color wheel and with the
complimentary colors clearly listed for help. We will also help
them with helpful, prompting questions in figuring out what
colors to do the background wash.

Assessment 1. Animal in two mediums (oil pastel and

watercolor)
