Thank you for your interest in the Campus Spring Games. Please let everyone in Benton Hall
know about the Games, which are scheduled for May 1215, 2015.

The Campus Spring Games are sponsored by Student Activities & Recreation every year to
encourage excellence for the mind and body. The Rec is now preparing for the 10 th Annual
Campus Spring Games by enlisting volunteers and accepting team registrations.

Any Hayward student can organize a co-ed team with at least two males and two females.
Faculty and staff can join a team. The team can participate in traditional or original events. In
previous years, events have ranged from beach volleyball and disc golf to dodge ball, chess,
and trivia competitions.

Attached is a brochure you can share with Benton Hall residents who are interested in the
Games. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to volunteer or participate. You can
stop by the Rec to pick up a registration form or find answers to your questions.

What Are the Campus Spring Games?
The Campus Spring Games are campus-wide competitions that celebrate
the spirit of the Olympics. Students compete in traditional events and
those of their own design. Do you love croquet, log rolling, or
skateboarding? Organize a co-ed team and compete to win a coveted
bronze, silver, or gold medal.

The Campus Spring Games have quickly become a fun and highly anticipated tradition at
Hayward College. Need some inspiration for your team? Following are a few events organized
in previous years:

Q: Who can participate in the teams?
A: Any Hayward student can be a member of team. You can organize your own team or
join one that has already been formed.

Q: How many people should be on each team?


A: Teams should have 510 people, depending on the sport. At least two must be male
and two must be female.

Q: Can faculty and staff participate?


A: Yes. A team can have one or many faculty and staff members.

Q: What are the prizes?


A: Teams can win gold, silver, or bronze medals plus (always popular) t-shirts! The team
with the best uniform or costume wins a special medal and t-shirt.

Q: Where can I sign up for the Games?


A: Come to Room 112 at the Rec to sign up.
