1. What are your goals and objectives for this lesson? My goal for this objective is that
the students would understand how to describe characters in depth through thinking about
specific details in the story.

2. What are some specific things you would like observed? Classroom management,
the ability to help students understand more efficiently, how to complete readers
workshop efficiently and effectively.

To be completed by the Observer:

3. Strengths to continue to build on: You had a great use of questioning while they/you
were reading. They were listening as you read and they were all on task. Great use of
discussion after reading, you handled the questioning and the questions from them very
well. You did well making sure that everyone was participating in the discussion. Used
visuals to help them understand the vocab. You corrected the off task behavior while
reading. You handled their thoughts about the book well. Good to remind them to raise
their hands. Good use of lesson timing and keeping them on track with just calling on a
few to share. You used the chart to help collect/gather thoughts. Gave clear directions
before they started both tasks. Great use of behavioral by reminding them to stay on of
level 0. Used the chart for clarification with struggling students. Moved around to check
in on them as they were working. Great to have them share as a wrap up.

4. Suggestions for future lessons: Make sure they are all focused on you while
reading. Make sure they are all listening to each other when discussing. You could call on
random students when asking questions to ensure they are paying attention. Most of them
were, just a suggestion for future lessons.
