When working with Olivia, as her classroom mentor, she has consistently proven to be @ competent, and an enthusiastic working professional. Olivia transitioned to the Maryvale school community quickly and easily adapted her skis to meet the students’ needs. In her experience at Maryvale, she worked with grade ‘to students, including children of al tiers. Olivia planned lessons integrating all academic content areas with technology and English language ars, as well as taught ‘Common Core Math Module lessons from Engage New York. She applied her knowledge of the common core standards when planning her daily and weekly lesson plans. Olivia engaged all students in well-developed lessons. Her planning included ‘whole group, small group and independent lessons. livia has grown professionally in many ways since the beginning of this placement ‘She has made positive growth inher classroom discipline by bringing in a behavior system called the Class Dolo for the whole class to follow. This isa program recognizing specific behaviors and giving students points to track. The children really enjoyed this program. Olivia demonstrates an improvement in time and classroom ‘management abilities. In closing, Olivia has displayed improved qualities in her teaching abilities. Given more time in the classroom and professional guidance, Oliva will continue to grow and should show improvement towards becoming a classroom teacher.
