Self-Evaluation

What I did for my senior project was conducting a fundraiser by selling candy and at least

earn a profit to donate 50 dollars to St. Jude. I spent a total of 22.40 hours/minutes on my

project. The location of my senior project was at Sierra Vista High School and my house in

which I sold to nearby neighbors. At first, I already knew that I was going to do a fundraiser, but

I need to know exactly what to sell for the fundraiser then I remember that work for a well-

supplied fundraiser company, Smart and Final. So it took some thinking then I knew that I had to

sell candy, and the day after I went to store bought it with my own money which is my startup

cost. Well, once I have purchase the item and went home my parent bought some off me because

my siblings wanted candy; therefore, I included the sell for day after because I was going to start

the day after. So, I sold throughout the month of March and couple of weeks of April, and I

mostly sold to my friends, periods 2,3, and 6th because that is where I had the most demand. Until

I had completion due to a friend selling in 2nd period. In addition, I began to sell outside of school

mostly to my neighbors and different period which was my 5th. When I was done with all the

items I sold then I had to resupply and used the 54 dollars to restock. I was planning a 100-dollar

donation as profit, but I did have enough time to sell everything. Therefore, I only made 37-

dollar profit and at least I paid myself back but ended up donating 15 dollars out of money I paid

myself because donating 37 was not enough but 50 was better. The most satisfying of my project

is that I donated the money for a good cause because helping the need makes me feel good. The

only unsatisfied outcome of the project is that I did not reach 100-dollar goal because of the lack

of time and not enough sold items within the week. At least something is donated because

something is better than nothing at all. The entire project was a positive learning experience

because I had my own business which I had to use economic skills to sell; for example,

advertising to have a possibility to sell my items. Another learning experience was that I

managed to planned and organize the fundraiser which is good for business jobs.
