Task Using the Technology (Mandatory) Years 7-8 Syllabus, prepare TWO lessons of activities.
Part A -Two lessons: (600 words each lesson)
These lessons may be designed within a regular classroom or practical
workshop (timber workshop, computer lab, textiles rooms etc). These lessons must be designed to promote skills development through student centred learning (active learning) and collaboration between students. For each designed lesson, you must include the relevant syllabus outcomes and the 'learn to' and 'learn about' content of the syllabus.
In addition to this, across the two lessons you must include:
One teaching and learning activity task that challenges students to research effectively One teaching and learning activity to develop students' literacy skills One teaching and learning activity to develop students' numeracy skills.
Part B - Rationale: (700 words)
A 700 word rationale must accompany these two plans of lesson activities explaining how the learning activities will address the diverse needs of students, incorporating: relevant syllabus requirements relevant general capabilities and key competency requirements across the two lessons (To make your rationale strong you will need to use references from your weekly readings (plus independent research) to back up the decisions you have made in your lesson activities)
