suggestion has been put forward to decline the working week to 35 hours, but it has
both advantages as well as disadvantages. In this essay, merits and demerits are

Cut down the working week is advantageous in term of unemployment. It reduces

the workload as more hands are employed and thus solve the problem of
unemployment faced by developed nation. It is apparent that if the working week
reduced to 35 hours, the employer needs to engage extra staff to manufacture the
same product quantity. So, collecting new worker will help nation to fight against
unemployment. Moreover, it is also beneficial for staff as their workload tension
decreases due to distribution of same job in more staff and thus helps them to work
more effectively and efficiently.

Not only advantages, but the solution has some disadvantages. If a company
engages extra employ, total wages paid by them will increase drastically. It
ultimately raises the price of the same product which results in a declination of the
share price of the company as none would prefer purchasing the same goods in
excess amount. In addition, cut down working hours force to work more hours a day.
