2. 1 person stays as the writer while the rest of the member stray around the classroom (or
outside) to search for words or sentences pasted by the teacher.
3. The members have to read the sentence, return to the writer and tell the writer what the

2. Give each group around 10 objects, words or picture flashcards each team must have the
same things.
3. The teacher now says all the words for items in front of the students. The students listen but
mustnt touch the objects.
4. Finally, the teacher says Put the objects in the correct order and the teams have to put in
order the objects in the order that the teacher said them. Make sure you write down the order as
you say it or else youll forget!

Bingo

1. Give each student with a 3x3 grid.

2. Say aloud the words of the day. Students listen and write each word down in any of the grid at
random. Students are not allowed to look at each others paper. If your students are weak you
might want to assist them with the spelling.
3. When everyone is done, teacher says aloud a word and students have to cross the word out.
Continues the steps.
4. The first student/group to get a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line completed earns a point

The big wind blows

1. Decide how many words you are going to teach/introduce based on the topic. For example,
the topic animals; select 6 animal names and write each of it on a piece of paper. If you have 30
students (6 animals x 5 copies = 30 pieces of paper)
2. Each student gets a piece of paper with a different animal name. If you are teaching young
learners or weak learners, include a picture at each word.
3. Check students understanding by calling out the animal name, and students with
the said word has to stand up quickly. Repeat until you have ensured that each
student remembers/knows/understands the word she/he is holding.
4. To set up the game, arrange several chairs facing inward into a medium sized circle. There
should be one chair for each player, minus one.
5. One person stands in the centre of the circle, with everyone else seated. Teacher calls out 2
or 3 words they have just leant earlier. At this point, any of the players who have the words must
stand up and quickly find a new seat. (For example, teacher says; rabbit, fish and bird. Students
who hold the word rabbit, fish and bird have to get up and change seats. While doing so, the
person who stands in the middle will try to steal the seat too so he/she doesnt have to stand
anymore)
6. For each statement, no player is allowed to sit in the same seat. Once everyone is done
grabbing a seat, one person will be left without a seat. Repeat the steps by calling out the words
of the day.
7. Increase the number of words being called out (from 2 to 3, 3 to 4, until 6) as the students
start to get familiar with the game. Student who has to stand in the middle can also be the caller
instead of the teacher.
