Class Congress Agenda

Cell phones (LMS H.R. 2)


Students will be allowed to use cell phones during lunch time (11 yes,
4 no)- passed
Cell phones can be used during class for educational reasons, and
teacher can monitor students. (3 yes, 12 no)- not passed
Students can use cell phones to call home for reasons that include
having parents bring a project or gym clothes left at home. (15 yes, 0
no)- passed

Events (LMS S.5)


There will be 4 school dances a year in which the students can vote
on the theme of each dance (10 yes, 5 no) passed
The school will hold decorating contests for each homeroom
before specific holidays (8 yes, 7 no) passed
The school will host a Battle of the Classes between the two grades
and four teams per grade (12 yes, 3 no) passed

Extra-Curriculars (LMS H.R. 6)


Students can vote on which specific sports that would like to play
after school (9 yes, 6 no)-passed
A schedule will be placed in the locker rooms that show what sport
will be played in the gym during open gym hours after school. (9 yes,
6 no)-passed
A cooking club will be added to the list of after school clubs, however,
there will be a limit of only twenty students to the club.

School Lunches (LMS S.1)
The school will provide students with healthier lunch options. (10
yes, 5 no)- passed
Microwaves will be placed at one end of the cafeteria, for all
students to use. (14 yes, 1 no) passed
A salad bar will be installed for all students to pay for and use
instead of getting the school lunch. ( 8 yes, 7 no)- passed
Technology (LMS S. 3)
More chromebooks will be added for students to use in each school (5
yes, 10 no) not passed
Each school will add a not internet router, to make internet connection
much faster (7 yes, 8 no)- not passed
Less websites will be blocked on the internet for students.
(15 yes, 0 no) passed

Hallways/ Lockers (LMS H.R. 4)


Each student will be given a full locker in the hallways, as opposed to
a half locker. ( 9 yes, 6 no) passed
More lockers will be added to the school and will be placed in the
music and art hallways (3 yes, 12 no) not passed
Students will be given five minutes instead of three to move through
the hallways between classes. ( 15 yes, 0 no) passed
