Alaska was very drunk and extremely upset but Miles didn't know how to handle the situation because Alaska never talks about her depression and what to do if she ever starts to freak out Impulsively Miles and Colonel create a distraction to get Alaska off campus which leads to her suicide, If Alaska didn’t cover up her true feeling and emotions with smoking and drinking this ‘would have never of happened because all of her friends would know about her issues and they could’ve been fixed or coped with. Young adults also don't feel as if they need to open up fg enone cee because they’re either shy or scared.
