Madison Florence kicks off new advertising campaign for Simmons College Dance Company

BOSTON January 22-- Simmons College Dance Company is about to start its spring season and

Madison Florence has increased the advertising already. As one of two advertising chairs on the

dance companys executive board, she is responsible for promoting the company through social

media and on-campus advertising. Florence has recently published a video featuring clips of last

semesters dances on various Facebook pages to promote the companys upcoming audition.

This resulted in 72 views and 12 shares of the original post. The shares and other posts also

helped to increasing the outreach of the post and drawing in new members.

I have seen other companies videos and really wanted to make one for SCDC. This semester it

finally worked out, said Madison Florence. She has expressed interest in growing the

companys social media outreach this semester through Instagram and Twitter. She also plans to

maintain Facebook as a way to reach families and friends.

Madison Florence is a sophomore at Simmons College. She is studying Graphic Design and
Public Relations/Marketing Communications. As an avid dancer, Florence joined the Simmons
College Dance Company her first semester freshman year and has served on the executive board
as freshman representative, advertising chair, and now vice president. She hopes to work with
Boston Ballet or other local dance companies with their promotions and advertisements as an
intern and possibly after college.
