MAGIC FORMULA FOR EVERLASTING HAPPINESS

Money can buy home not HOUSE,

Money can buy clock not TIME,
Money can buy bed not SLEEP,
Money can buy book not KNOWLEDGE,
Money can see a doctor, but not good HEALTH
Money can buy position not RESPECT,
Money can buy blood not LIFE,
Money can buy sex not LOVE.

No doubt we need money to lead a happy life but money is not everything; it is a
mean to live. LOVE is the only mode to survive and live a Spiritual life.
Gurbani says: Sukh Naahee bohtee dhan khaatee.

When we have excess money to spend on worldly pleasure, we follow vices and
ignore the mission of human life. Faith is usually the first casualty when done
becomes rich. It means that even if we have a lot of money, we cannot get real
happiness. Now question arises that if money cannot give us eternal happiness
then how do we get it?

All peace comes from singing the Glorious Praises of the WAHEGURU. It means
that true happiness is obtained by doing His NAAM SIMARAN. Only NAAM
SIMRAN can protect us every where and at any time. It cannot be robbed from
us, but money can be robbed. We should, therefore, try to spend more and more
time to involve ourselves in doing His SIMARN. This is the only way to get
EVERLASTING HAPPINESS. The magic formula is given in Gurbani:

Ustat Mann meh kar Nirankaar

(Praise the Formless Lord in our mind sincerely and from our heart.)

Every day we see so many good things like flowers, the beautiful sunrise, the
beautiful moon and the stars. Waheguru has created these wonderful things.
Whenever we see them we should praise Waheguru, because He has created
these things good. When we meet any good person we should sincerely praise
Waheguru, because Waheguru has made that person good.

Waheguru has given us everything for our daily use. When we reach our home
and press the bell we should thank Waheguru Ji for having given this beautiful
house. When we sit on the dinning table to eat our food, do not think that this
food is prepared in your kitchen by our wife or servant but feel that same is sent
by Waheguru Ji. Similarly when we see other blessings of Waheguru we should
thank and praise Him.
When we see these wonderful things we have to remind ourselves that Waheguru
must be ever more wonderful. With this sincere feeling we should say
WAHEGURU, WAHEGURU.

Gurbani explains beautifully about the power of NAAM:

Jeh mat pitta sut meet na bhai
mann uuha naam terai sang sahai

(Where there is no mother, father, children, friends or siblings O my mind,

there, only the NAAM, the Name of the Lord, shall be with us as our help and
support.)

In this connection Guru Arjun Dev Ji has told us that our important relations
are mother, father, son, friends and brothers. We are always proud of these
relationships. But in some situations of life none of these relationships can help.
Suppose a person is ill and suffering from pain. Then the relatives can call the
doctor and spend money for medicines but they cannot share the pain. Similarly
if a student is appearing for an examination, there his relatives cannot help him
and he is all alone to face any problem. When a person is dying, he has to face
death all alone and nobody can save him.

Guru Ji says in the second line that in such situations only Wahegurus name
comes to the rescue of the mind. We should, therefore, always remember
WAHEGURU and do not forget to praise WAHEGURU as many times as
possible everyday, everywhere and every time. Praising WAHEGURU is free of
cost but its benefits are enormous.
