Think about gender roles. Write about gender roles. Why do we often feel one gender has
more social power than the other? Do you know that more women go to college than men
yet on an average woman get paid 25% less than men? Why is this?

Gender roles can fall in with stereotypes which is why we think one has more social power

than the other. We have this idea in our head that men are more hard working than women

with what the media displays and what we learned from history when women were not

respected. For example, women werent allowed to work, or vote for a long time. They were

expected to stay home and do nothing while the men worked. Women may go to college

more than men but men get paid more, why is that? Society believes men can be more hard

working because they are stronger than women, and can handle more. Women go to college

to get a degree, but men usually go into labor manual jobs after graduating high school.
