Title: 2010 Best Places to Work
Author: Anne Kelly

This article lists the top 10 jobs that are the best for the country right
now. After listing them, the article describes why these are the best places to
work and how it helps create incentives to focus on the issues of the
workforce and how it also helps the employers improve their employee
engagement. The articles states that the rankings were compiled by the U.S.
Office of Personnel Managements Federal Human Capital Survey. This
survey, analyzed results of how satisfied the employees were in over 200
agencies. After seeing the results in 2009, employee satisfactions increased
by about two percent. In this article, the agencies are categorized in many
ways which include their size, leadership, work-life balance, pay, and their
benefits.
After showing the ranking, the article then goes on to tell why the
ranking matters. Knowing that there are things going on in the world that
need to be taken care of, it is known that we need employees that are well
qualified to be able to provide a federal government capable of taking care of
the issues America is facing. This article states that if a workplace is poor in
performance, the workers are unhappy and that agency is badly managed. If
one certain agency is not managed well, the public suffers. Showing the
world which jobs are the best work places, shows that all leaders at any level
need to make sure their work place is the best it can be.
