Technology in the Classroom (EDU 2140)

Reflection

Technology in the Classroom is a course that teaches needed skills for both teaching and

learning in my future classroom. Learning how to utilize new software, programs and websites

has helped open more inventive, and effective ways to teach and organize.

One of the most helpful things that I will take away from this class is how to construct a

website. Throughout the semester the technology assignments that I completed were all

uploaded to a website that I built for a classroom. By learning how to use innovative programs

and make them accessible via a website, I will be able to keep my students and their families

informed of important information such as curriculum, grades, testing, and resources. This will

empower my students, their families and me and as and educator by making sure that what is

done in the classroom can be communicated and shared with those who are invested in the

learning of my students.

Learning technology that can be used in the classroom has taught me some of the most

needed and relevant skills I have learned as a student. I have used what I learn in this class

immediately. The assignments have applied to presentations for other classes, lesson plans that

I have taught in local schools and in my overall efficiency and organization as a college student.

Technology in the Classroom has helped me break down my own technology fears and

replace them with technology proficiency and capability.
