In the article Stigma and School-Based Mental Health Perceptions of Young People and
Service Provider The author's recognize a problem with the youth of today, and mental health
problems that are associated with them. In this magazine article there was a survey that people
had to participate in. The participants thought that the teachers should be able to find out about
mental well being of the students. Teachers recorded not being prepared, or able to identify
which student suffered with mental health issues. This shows that people that are teachers need
a special training so, they can identify the problem.
I think that this article was really interesting read. It really opens your eyes on what
teachers need to know. I think that this was a very good article to read. I really enjoyed it. I
chose this picture because it shows a teacher and student interacting. If all teachers gave the
amount of time forone-on-one with students it may make a difference.
