Exercise 1. Application of transitional words.

1. I used to ride my motorcycle when I was 20 years old. __now__ I drive a car.
2. My mother used to sing when she was in high school. __then__, she formed her
own group. They used to be called The Electrics.
3. He used to work for a factory __until__ he found a job in education.
4. My sister used to have a cat; __now__ she bought a dog.
5. My brother and his wife used to live in Chicago, __until__ they decided to move to
New York.
6. We used to visit the library very often, but __currently__ we get most information
over the internet.
7. As an Irish tradition, brides used to carry a horseshoe for good luck; __Nowadays__
the horseshoes are made of porcelain or other materials to preserve this tradition.
8. My friend Jeff used to own an apartment; __until__ he decided to move to a house.
9. When she was a teenager, Maria used to take care of her little sister Sarah.

Exercise 2. Composition.

I used to go to the skate park all day every day, now i don't go anymore, because I don't
have skateboard. And I used to go out with friends every day, currently just the weekends I
see them. I used to smoke weed every day, nowadays just one time at the month. And I used
to go at the beach every summer, currently we don't go anymore. We used to go too with
your family in U.S, now we don't go anymore, too, its sad, very sad. And what more can
I say over things what I don't do more... well it's everything.
