Quick Guide System 1200 Transferring Objects

This quick guide will show you how to use the Transfer Objects function to copy
various items such as codelists, configuration sets, co-ordinate systems and format
files between the compact flash card and the system RAM, enabling these objects to
be transferred between different instruments.

From the main menu,


select 6 Tools then option
1
2 Transfer Objects.

The Transfer Objects


Menu shows the various
objects that can be copied.
Although all of these
items can be stored on the
CF card, the instrument
makes use of those stored
2 on the System RAM. For
the purpose of this
exercise we will transfer a
codelist from the CF card
to the system RAM.
Highlight 01 Codelists
and press F1 (CONT).

Select the source of the


codelist (this will be the
Code directory on the CF
card) and the destination
will automatically appear.
If the instrument has
internal memory then this
option will also appear.

Select the codelist name
you wish to transfer and
press F1 (CONT). If you
wish to transfer all the
codelists then press F3
(ALL). You will then be
returned to the main
menu.
The following message
may appear if the
destination already
contains a codelist of that
name. A warning will also
appear if the system RAM
does not have enough
memory available. If this

is the case, then space will
have to be created by
deleting some unused
objects from the system
RAM, eg other codelists.
Ensure that they have
been transferred to the CF
card first!
