STIRLING CASTLE

During our trip we visited 5 castles but now we are going to talk to you about Stirling
castle .

Stirling castle is the biggest and on of the most important in Scotland .

It dominates a volcanic rock between the Lowlands and the Highlands
Most of the principal buildings of the castle date from the fifteenth and sixteenth
centuries.
A few structures of the fourteenth century remain, while the outer defences facing the
town date from the early eighteenth century.

This castle was a great royal residence and a powerful stronghold and the castle was
concidered asone of the most important places in Scotland.

Progressively the castle became a childhood

home where importants people lived and the
most famous was Mary Queen of Scots and her
family.

Nowadays this castle is one of the most visited
