San Andreas- movie review

San Andreas is a aventure-action movie that puts disaster in first-plan. The movie is
directed by Brad Peyton and the action is based on the adventures of separated families
and their efforts to reunite and to arrive somewhere safely. The movie is based on real facts
about San Andreas fault , between Pacific and North America.

The film begins with a very minor landslide on a mountain road in California. Stones hit
the windscreen of a car being driven by a young woman. She loses control. Her mini-calamity is
just the precursor of what is to follow. The first disturbances are somewhere in Nevada but once
the San Andreas fault is activated, San Francisco is right in its line.

After San Andreas fault failing, causing a catastrophic earthquake of more than 9
degree magnitude in California, Ray and his ex-wife join forces to save their daughter
caught in the ruins.

But their intervention through the ruins is just the beginning of the problems, because
things degenerate even when they think that everything was finished. When they think that
nothing can be worse, they realize that the earthquake is just the beginning.

Ray, as a helicopter pilot ventured into a dangerous journey across the state to save
her daughter. It is a desperate and dangerous search, with many failures and roads that
lead nowhere, during which they take advantage of every opportunity and use almost all
public transport. Because family means everything, Ray proves courage and finally
manages to save his daughter.

The most credible part of San Andreas is the representation of emotions in a disaster.
Knowing how to protect yourself and others, reduce fear and increase chances of survival.

Pros. : The film is inspired by real facts; The movie teaches you how to survive in this
case

Cons. : Lack of originality- for example, the movie resembles with movie 2012
