Comparative Performance of Two Depression Screening Instruments in
Adolescent Mothers, written by Cynthia Logsdon and John A. Myers, starts
off by informing their readers that about 14.5% of women experience
postpartum depression. Studies determined that about of adolescent
mothers have symptoms of postpartum depression, but very few receive the
mental health treatment they should have. The ideal instrument that should
be used when screening adolescent mothers for postpartum depression is
the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale.
The outcome of this article wasnt as good as the first one, but I still
learned A LOT from this article as well. This article was able to give me some
percentages about depression in adolescent mothers. I believe that this
article will help me just as much as the first one should.
