Topic/Title of Lesson: Farm Animal Count and Clip Cards Focused Domain
Cognitive Development
Learning Center: Writing Center Age of
Children: 3-5
Goal: Learn to count from 1-5.

Objective: Children will count with understanding and recognize how many in
small sets.

Procedure: On each card are a set of farm animal pictures to count and a choice
of three numerals. Count the farm animals, and have children clip the correct
number. Have the correct answer on the back on a flash card and black marker.
Then, after your child clips their choice, they can check on their own to see if they
were correct.

Advanced Preparation: Construction Paper, Scissors, Glue, crayons, 5


clothespins, markers, 5 flash cards and contact paper

Future Plans: Add more numbers and animal card sets. Make it challenging little
by little start by 5, 10, and 15 up to 20.
