Standard 4: Instructional Leadership
Ms. Mills sets high standards for herself and students alike. She is an excellent instructor, and she shares her
skills with other teachers through staff development.

The key to successful schools are the people they hire and their ability to retain and nurture them. Ms. Mills
understands this, and she works hard to improve their skills through staff development. She relies on her staff
for support, and she makes sure they have the training and materials to do the very best job they can.

Ms. Mills has strong leadership skills. She sets long term goals and works with staff members on a plan to
achieve them. She meets regularly with school and community leaders, and together they set goals to ensure
