Module Ten: Analyzing Data

After analyzing my classroom grades on my recent math test, I can tell that my class

as a whole isnt doing so great. The average grade on the test was a 67.72%. I would

like the average to be a 75% or greater. I also noticed my class distribution curve is

positive, showing an increase in number of students as the grade percentages decline.

I should see more numbers in the middle of the curve than at the end. Although several

students need extra help, Juan and Cody scored a 100% on the test. Hannah scored a

71.43% on the test, but got all of the subtraction questions correct. Patrick, Sarah, and

Claire scored the lowest grades in the class making a 50% on the test. Out of the seven

questions Patrick missed, five of them were division problems. So, I will have to make

sure he gets the help he needs in understanding division. Sarah and Claire missed a

mix of addition, subtraction, and division problems so I will make sure they get the help

they need to be more successful on the next test.
